What Is Atkins’ Hiring Process?
The Atkins recruitment process will begin with the online application, where you will submit your resume and answer a few basic employment questions. A series of psychometric exams will follow your application. Once you have passed the initial screening, you will graduate to the telephone interview and the assessment day.
Atkins’ Psychometric Tests
The assessment portion of the hiring process is crucial. This stage of the process will prove that you are an excellent fit for the company and have the skills to succeed. There are two exams that all candidates will likely take:
- Verbal Reasoning Test – The verbal reasoning test examines your ability to understand written information. You will be given a series of paragraphs and need to read them to answer multiple-choice questions related to comprehension and language understating, among other skills. This test will be timed, and you will likely have seven days to complete the test once you receive the link to the test.
- Numerical Reasoning Test – The numerical reasoning test is a psychometric exam that measures your ability to interpret numerical information in the form of graphs, figures, and data. You will need to analyze the information provided and answer a series of multiple-choice questions. This test will be timed, and you will typically have a week to complete the exam once the company sends you the link.
Assessment Centre
In addition to the psychometric tests, candidates will also participate in an assessment day. During this event, you will have the opportunity to work with other candidates in group exercises. These will assess how well you work in a team. You will work together on simulated workplace problems related to the position you are applying for. Be sure to show your leadership skills but be respectful of the other members of your team.
There will also be individual activities that you will complete. For example, you will likely be given a written exercise to assess your written communication and presentation skills. During this test, you will receive materials to read and will then need to create a report that you will present to a member of the recruitment team. The assessor will likely have questions about your report, so be sure to prepare for that ahead of time.
How to Prepare for the Atkins Assessment?
Preparation for the assessment portion of the process is critical to your success. There are many online practice exams that you can use to help you prepare. Taking these practice exams will help you understand what you will be asked on the test and will allow you to rehearse your timing.
The more you practice for the assessments, the better you will do during the actual test.
