Diagrammatic Reasoning Test: Free Practice & Tips – 2024

Assessment Test

If you’ve been asked to take a diagrammatic test, you’re in for a surprise. These pre-employment exams are no cake-walk even for the smartest graduates and job-seekers. These aptitude assessments are made up of odd pictures with arrows and numbers you’ll need to interpret. Though they’ll require a lot of the same skills you might have used in a non-verbal inductive logical reasoning test, diagrammatic reasoning problems use a unique form of problem solving.

What Is a Diagrammatic Reasoning Test?

On a diagram test, you’ll be presented with a picture showing letters, numbers, symbols, and arrows. Each number or symbol represents an operation. You can think of these operations like mathematical functions. Instead of multiplying or dividing though, you’re going to be doubling letters, rotating shapes, and swapping symbols.

How to Answer Diagrammatic Reasoning Test Questions:

Isolate a function to see how it works in isolation. It’s impossible to analyse an operation when there are multiple changes occurring at the same time. Once you’ve identified the function of a single number, the other movements should fall into place.
