You can think of these operations like mathematical functions. Instead of multiplying or dividing though, you’re going to be doubling letters, rotating shapes, and swapping symbols.

Isolate a function to see how it works in isolation. It’s impossible to analyse an operation when there are multiple changes occurring at the same time. Once you’ve identified the function of a single number, the other movements should fall into place.
