Scottish Power’s Assessment Centre

During the assessment centre, you will be tested on your physical abilities and your practical knowledge.

You will be tasked with assembling and disassembling objects to demonstrate hand/eye coordination, and a basic understanding of troubleshooting mechanics. You will be asked to complete a climbing/height test to show that you are physically capable of climbing and can tolerate heights.

 

Graduate Programme Testing and Assessment Centre

If you have applied for one of the graduate programs offered by Scottish Power, you will be given an online assessment test. You will also need to attend an assessment centre before being accepted into the program.

Interactive G+: This test measures 3 different abilities; Numerical reasoning, deductive reasoning, and inductive reasoning.

  • Numerical Reasoning Questions Here, the focus is problem-solving using numbers and the ability to read and interpret numerical charts, tables, and graphs.
  • Deductive Reasoning Questions This section will test your logical thinking ability. Questions may include drawing conclusions using the limited information, differentiating between strong and weak arguments, and completing scenarios.
  • Inductive Reasoning QuestionsThis is also known as figural reasoning. You will need to find patterns and determine the rules governing different sets of shapes and figures.

    Assessment Centre

    The assessment centre will show the recruiting team how you present yourself in a professional environment, your ability to work with others, and your leadership abilities. You will give a presentation, complete a set of group exercises, and you will finish the day with interviews.
